FAQ

  • Naturopathy is a complementary health system, intended to work in tandem with conventional medicine to support overall wellness. Naturopathy has ancient roots, and utilises a blend of traditional wisdom and modern science.

Naturopathy consults tend to be long, as we piece together the puzzle of your health picture. We look at individualised care, as no two people are the same. Even if you have the same condition as the person next to you, there may be different contributing factors and experiences, hence the treatment should be different!

There are many different modalities that naturopaths across Australia use - here at Quiet Corner, we utilise herbal medicine and nutritional supplementation alongside dietary and lifestyle advice.

  • Naturopathy is for anyone and everyone. Our naturopath, Allie, has experience working with both acute and chronic health conditions. Some reasons you may choose to see a naturopath include:

    • Digestive health (irregular bowel motions, bloating, abdominal pain, reflux, IBS, IBD, liver support)

    • Immune system support (frequent colds/flu, allergies, hayfever, post-viral syndrome, autoimmunity)

    • Hormonal support (thyroid conditions, diabetes, sex-hormone concerns such as PCOS, endometriosis, PMS, PMDD, fertility support, menopause, andropause)

    • Nervous system support (anxiety, depression, stress management, OCD, insomnia, fibromyalgia)

    • General wellbeing (improving energy, optimising nutrition status, healthy aging, building healthy habits, healing relationship with food)

  • As of April 2025, the Australian Government has endorsed the reinstatement of private health insurance rebates for naturopathy, following recommendations from the Natural Therapies Review Expert Advisory Panel.

This means that, depending on your health fund and policy, you may soon be eligible to claim rebates for naturopathic services.

It's important to note that this change is subject to individual health insurers' decisions, and not all may offer these rebates immediately. We recommend contacting your insurer to register your interest in naturopathy.
